Security & Crisis Management

Dates 6 - 10 August 2007
Location London
Fees US$ 3,850

Introduction

Security professionals armed with the necessary skills and knowledge are the only way to create value added departments. As quickly as the world and its continents develop, so do the risks and threats. Companies can no longer view their security departments and employees as lower level functions. In order to ensure departments function effectively within the realm of the larger corporate objectives, it is essential that security managers and executives can manage and lead their teams to achieve effective security and crisis management plans and programmes that can be implemented successfully.

In order to achieve a consistent level of best practice the security manager needs to understand the needs of his industry, his team and his security projects.

This seminar is structured to equip delegates with the specialist knowledge to perform their management and supervisory duties to international standards in both security planning and Crisis Management.

To deal with crisis in the most effective way, is to avoid one in the first place. However, if crisis is inevitable due to a large number of factors (including terrorism) then your organisation needs to identify their vulnerabilities and implement effective plans.

With any response there is a critical time frame following the identification of a crisis when the immediate response must be as professional as the crisis is destructive or potentially devastating. Your crisis response must be well planned and effective, your security crisis management team/s pre-identified and fully trained.

The seminar will be of benefit to those who find themselves responsible for leading on, or implementing Security, Crisis Management and recovery mechanisms in both the public and the private sector.

In addition, it will raise the awareness of those Senior Executives who have been allocated ‘potential’ or specific tasks in an existing Crisis and Emergency Management programme yet have had insufficient time to devote to the subject.
